First Blog: TopTenBestWaysToCelebrateSpring

Okay, since this is my first post, I figured I'd ring it in with a celebration of Spring! Although the weather isn't lookin' too "April-showers-brings-May-flowers"ish right now, I have high hopes. These are the top ten ways I think everyone should partake in to celebrate my favorite season.

1) Ride a Bike!
A few weeks ago, the weather is almost summer-like and I actually dug out my old bike from, gasp!, middle school. I live in an extremely hilly area but i decided to embrace the weather and ride around my little town on my oh-so-old bike. Although i suffered from major butt-soreness the next day, riding my bike was so freeing and relaxing.
Plus, it totally saves gas and lets you breath real, fresh air!

2) Partaking in an outdoor activity!
Also very middle school, but hey, what beats a game of kickball! Whenever the weather starts to brighten up, my friends and I hit the playground and church parking lot for a quick game of stickball, kickball, or any other ball-organized-game. It may seem childish but it's tons of fun and an awesome way to keep the addrenaline pumping.

3) Go on a picnic!
Instead of spending extra hard earned cash, go ahead and pack an outdoor-friendly food basket and head to a field or park. Again, another way to appreciate the outdoors and also saves you cash! Just remember a blanket.

4) Shop!!!
I have severe shopping addiciton, I'll admit it. But the worst, or best depending on how you look at it, time of year for me is Spring. Nothing excites me for Spring more than shopping for the season's new trends. Buying sandals, summer dresses, and even a bathing suit is a great way to ring in the season!

5) Go on a walk!
Sick of the extra winter weight you mysteriously packed on? Then embrace your neighborhood, tie up your dusty sneaks and hit the streets. Walking pumps up the addrenaline and your heart rate and can help you get in shape for Summer! It's also a great way to appreciate the oncomings in nature for Spring!

6) Wear bright colors!
Hop off the black, gray and beige train and stick to brights. I'm not advising to go on a rainbow-bright kick here, but adding a touch of color can really brighten up your day and put you in the good-weather mood. Try pairing a simple bright tee with a neutral blazer and wedges! So Spring.

7) Windows open!
Not only do I drive with my windows open year round, I often open my bedroom windows for some fresh air. I love the smell of Spring and wether your stuck in the office or the car all day, leaving your windows open can really Spring it up. Turn off the AC, heat or whatever artifical air you're used to and open that glass!

8) Farmer's market here you come!
Even if your not the healthiest eater, going to a local farmer's market is fun and great-tasting. Picking out your own seasonal fruits and veggies is the best way to control your diet and your seasonal celebration. Drive around until your find a farmer's market and stock up on your favorite healthy bites!

9) Plan a trip!
Even if you don't have the money for a lavish, out-of-thecountry, all expense paid trip, brainstorm road trips for the beach or maybe a museum. These mini-trips will definetly excite you for the upcoming seasons and will motivate you to save some money! Jersey shore, here we come! Move over Snooki.

It might not be Aruba, but it's only 2 hours away! Day trip anyone?

10) Clean!!!!!
It might not sound like the most appetizing way to pump in Spring, but Spring cleaning is essential, well at least for my messy habits. It refreshens your winter life and gives you a chance to refurbish your room and lifestyle! Embrace your inner Monica Ghellar of Friends and start cleaning.
